WELCOME!
Century Bassmasters has been an institution in the Raleigh area for over 30 years. We are a group of bass fishermen who not only love to catch fish, but who equally enjoy sharing the experience and the fellowship with a group of good friends. Our monthly meetings are almost as popular as our monthly tournaments - a chance to spend time with the people we like being around. Among our members are some of the best bass fishermen in the Triangle area, and several local guides got their start as members of our club. We believe we have a serious obligation to share what we know and learn with others in the club - after every tournament the top teams share information on tackle and techniques they used with the other competitors. We are always glad to have new members who wish to learn more about bass fishing or about the local waters and conditions. We fish the local lakes like Falls, Jordan, Harris, Kerr and Gaston most months, but twice a year we have two-day tournaments on more distant waters such as the rivers of Albemarle Sound, High Rock Lake, and others.
All our monthly tournaments are fished as two-man teams, with partners drawn each month prior to the tournament, so the competition is with the other teams, never with the other guy in the boat, and eventually everyone gets to fish with everyone else. Each fall we have a “Classic” tournament with a large cash prize, and every spring we have an awards banquet with spouses and guests, where serious and not-so-serious awards are presented for such accomplishments as Angler of the Year, Lunker of the Year, and Biggest Goofs on the Lake.
While you are here, take the time to check out the tournament reports on the upper left of this page. Even if you have no interest in joining our club, we think you’ll enjoy what you see. Unlike some on-line fishing forums there are no exaggerations here, just an occasional attempt at humor. If you think you might be interested in joining our club: Unlike every other bass club we know about, our Charter, Bylaws and Tournament Rules are publicly available by a simple mouse click, and there you’ll find most of the information you need about how the club works. The only other thing you need to do is COME FISHING with us. Just contact us by email and either fish with one of our members, or fish in one of our tournaments. There is no obligation, and that is really the only way to know who we are and whether you would enjoy being one of us.
